3 Ways to Transfer Files from PC to Android Phone

Managing files such as documents, photos and music between multiple devices is time consuming and a bit sophisticated for those who are not tech-savvy. If you are looking for easy ways on how to transfer files from PC to Android phone, here are a few ways to exactly do that:

Method 1: Transfer Files from PC to Android Using the Wi-Fi Network

This is one of the best way to send files from your PC to the Android device. To do so, you must have a shared network and an app, in this scenario we will use the Filedrop app. Here are the steps involved:
  • Step 1: Install the application on the android device and then download the companion software for your PC. As soon as the download is complete, install and launch the program on both the Android device and on the computer. Click the “Scan” buttons.
  • Step 2: When the computer asks you the kind of device that you are trying to connect, choose the right type of device and it will then prompt you to enter a device code.
  • Step 3: The code can be located by tapping the options icon in the device application. To pair the PC with the Android device input the code.
  • Step 4: Drag and drop the files that you wanted to transfer into the program window in your computer.
  • Step 5: Agree to the transfer on the Android device and the transfer will begin immediately.
Method 2: Transfer Files from PC to Android Using Bluetooth

Bluetooth is also another way to transfer files from a PC to an Android phone. Below is a step by step guide on how to do it:
  • Step 1: Switch on Bluetooth in the PC and in the Android device.
  • Step 2: Go to the Devices and printers section in the PC and click add a device. The computer will pick up your Android device. Select the device and click next.
  • Step 3: The computer will give you a code to make sure that you are connecting to the right device. The same code will appear on the Android device. Verify the codes and continue with the wizard.
  • Step 4: The two devices will be paired and you can now begin to transfer files from the PC to the Android device.
Method: How to Transfer Files from PC to Android via ES File Explorer

ES File explore is an excellent file manager for android that is used for such tasks as transfer of files from PC to android device. The app also helps in the management of the files on the android device. Now, the main question is how to transfer files using this app from the PC to the android but it is an easy process since you just have to follow steps below:
  • Step 1: Install the app, ES File Explorer, to your android device from the Google play store.
  • Step 2: Create shared folder on your window PC and ensure that access permissions are set. Then, right click on this folder that you are going to transfer and click properties option. Once the properties box appear, click on the sharing option and then click on the share button.
  • Step 3: Enter the list of the user you are going to share the file. The best option here is to click everyone’ and then add button. After everyone user field is created, click on the field and make it as Read/ Write and click share then done and close. After this you are through with pc.
  • Step 4: In the ES File Explorer on the Android device, tap globe icon on the left hand corner and then navigate to network and select the LAN option. Tap on the New button and fill all the information for the transfer to take place. The first field here is your domain name whereas the second one is the server where you to enter the IP address of the PC.
  • Step 5: Now you can access the desktop folders on the android device where you just click on the folder created and transfer files freely from PC to Android device. Copy and paste any file to view with both devices.
It is thus a simple method to transfer files faster and wirelessly with just a need for LAN connection for both devices.

Transfer Photos Music and Video from Android to iPhone

If you're an Android user thinking about switching to iPhone (or if you've already made the switch from Android to iPhone), you may be concerned about transferring all your data - music, photos, video and so on - and making sure nothing is lost in the process. Luckily you've come to the right place.

The good news is that transferring contacts and the rest from Android phone to iPhone really couldn't be simpler - it turns out that Google is good at this stuff. The basic principle is to back up to either the cloud or a desktop machine, and then sync to iPhone. Even better, Apple recently launched an Android app specifically to guide you through this process.

    Here's what you need
    • iOS 9 or later
    • iPhone 5 or later
    • iPad 4th generation or later
    • iPad mini 2nd generation or later
    • iPod touch 6th generation
    • Android version 4.0 or later
    Tap Move Data from Android

While setting up your new iOS device, look for the Apps & Data screen. Then tap Move Data from Android. If you've already finished setup, you'll have to erase your iOS device and start over. If you don't want to erase, just transfer your content manually.

Open the Move to iOS app

On your Android device, open the Move to iOS app and tap Continue. Read the terms and conditions that appear. Tap Agree to continue, then tap Next in the top-right corner of the Find Your Code screen.

    Wait for a code

On your iOS device, tap Continue on the screen called Move from Android. Then wait for a ten-digit code to appear. If your Android device shows an alert that you have a weak Internet connection, you can ignore the alert.

    Use the code

Enter the code on your Android device. Then wait for the Transfer Data screen to appear.

    Choose your content and wait

On your Android device, select the content you'd like to transfer and tap Next. Then leave both devices alone until the loading bar that appears on your iOS device finishes—even if your Android indicates that the process is complete.
The whole transfer can take a while, depending on how much content you're moving.

    Set up your iOS device

After the loading bar finishes on your iOS device, tap Done on your Android device. Then tap Continue on your iOS device and follow the onscreen steps to finish setting it up.

    Finish up

Make sure that all of your content transferred. If some didn't, you can move that content manually. Then go to the App Store on your iOS device to find and download apps that were on your Android device.

If you need help after the transfer

You might find that only some content transferred and your iOS device ran out of space, or your iOS device might appear full even though the transfer didn't finish. If so, erase your iOS device and start the transfer again. Make sure that your Android content doesn't exceed the available space on your iOS device. For important camera photos and videos, you can compress the size and then transfer it to iPhone via iTunes. There you can get a free compressor--Pavtube Video Converter / Mac Version. With it you can downsize the video size in the lower size and keep the high quality.

    With it you can:
    • Hange default settings: You can change the parameters such as video size, bitrate, frame rate, and channels for your video file according to your need to get the best output effect.
    • Batch conversion: Handle multiple videos and realize batch conversion to save your time and energy.
    • Merging & splitting: Merge several video clips into one bigger file and splitting one video file into several clips according to the clip quantity, duration time and file size.
    • Create new output format: Adjust profile parameters, rename and save it for future use.
